I think, we need a list of things that harm vampires.
Like, does sunlight kill them?
Bursting into flames in sunlight is classic, but I don't like it that much. As long as they don't fucking sparkle.
And holy water? How do the myths come into play? Knowing what can kill a vampire would help the humans out.

Hrmm. Yeah, holy water has always seemed stupid.

I'm sure they can't go in the sunlight. Maybe they just kinda melt like Voldemort did at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2.

And wood and shit probably would kill the fuck out of them. I dunno. What do you think? D:

Hmmm. In my opinion, I think the older a vampire is, the harder to kill.
And I think sunlight should harm them, but not melt or anything. Like, they can be out for short periods, but it makes them extremely uncomfortable. I dunno, though.
And crosses? I think crosses wouldn't really work, unless the vampire was a hardcore Christian or something. /rant

Sunlight should, yeah, but like Edsauce has said, it won't kill them. It will just weaken them and the younger a vampire, the worse it is. So old vampires can be out longer than the young ones, but they still get weakened. Headaches, dizzy, unfocused, etc etc. And if they're out for too long, they begin to smoke and steam, and eventually burst into flames and are reduced to a pile of ashes. C:

As for crosses, nahh. Silver and wood, yeah, hence the wooden bullets that Hadley has. Wooden swords, silver swords, you get my point. Holy water is like the cross thing, it's stupid. At least I find that stupid.

Vampires aren't unholy creatures, so why should holy objects hurt them?

I've always thought that sunlight should kill a vampire. But yeah, maybe the older a vampire it is the harder it is to kill. Like maybe the older ones could be out for an hour or so, and the little ones would only take about half a minute to die? I dunno.

Hrmm. Little ones about 10 minutes, maybe less? And old vampires 45 minutes to an hour?

Okay. But I think like, for little kids it should be really easy, like five minutes.

I have an urge to push a vampire child into sunlight.

... It's ostly because I want to keep Lily but also have someone I can do stuff with. >_> xD But I want other peoples' responses too.

Oh also, I think there should be at least a few loner vampires that live outside the cities.
